Gas prices have continued to decline in northern West Virginia, with the average price per gallon of unleaded gasoline dropping from $3.37 to $3.33 over the past week.
In north central West Virginia, current prices average $3.37 in Bridgeport, $3.33 in Clarksburg, and $3.35 in Morgantown.
According to AAA, the supply of gas has increased more than the demand over the past week.
On a national level, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.45.
As per the latest data from the Energy Information Administration, as of June 7, 2024, the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserveβs levels stood at 370,526 barrels. This follows a low of 346,758 barrels in July 2023, a level not seen since August 1983.
