The North Beach Farmers’ Market is thrilled to continue its customary, small-town vibe farmers’ market for the 2024 season. It will be held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Senior Center Parking Lot, 9010 Chesapeake Avenue, North Beach, MD. Local merchants selling plants, farm veggies, baked products, meats, cheeses, eggs, and other fresh things will be present at the market. All visitors are encouraged by the Town of North Beach to HELP REDUCE WASTE by bringing their own bags and making use of the suitable disposal bins available at the market.

Stars & Stripes Weekend @LPFM, La Plata Farmers Market, 209 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD, July 6 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) This year’s Independence Day falls on a Thursday, but we’re still celebrating the wonderful American spirit of independence all weekend long. Come out and support the business owners in our market as they expand!
Petting Pen at Serenity Farm at Benedict, 6932 Serenity Farm Rd, Benedict, MD, on July 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. From May through August, the petting zoo will be open on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The Shops at Waldorf Center Farmers Market, which is held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting) at 3003 Festival Way, Waldorf, MD, is located there. Visitors are welcome to check out fresh produce from the area, such as tomatoes, apples, oranges, asparagus, avocados, and strawberries, at the Farmers Market, which is hosted in the lot next to CAVA. There will also be flowers, baked items, honey, soaps, and soaps made locally. It costs nothing to visit the Farmers Market, and there’s no need to register in advance. Every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through July 6 at Carver Recreation Center, 47382 Lincoln Avenue, Lexington Park, MD, there is drop-in basketball. – Come hang out with us on Saturdays at Carver Recreation Center for drop-in basketball. There are two available sessions: Sixth and eighth graders from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. 9th and 10th graders from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Fees: $5 for each session; non-residents must pay $7. Participants must register in advance to ensure a space. Coaching and instructing are not permitted, nor are team registrations. Adults are only permitted to watch. No player should bring a basketball of their own. There will be basketballs available. Upon arriving, players will sign in on the team rosters. There will be pick-up scrimmage games. The amount of participants in attendance will decide how long each game lasts. Participants ought to pack a reusable water bottle.
