CHARLESTON, WV – A new tool has been made available to West Virginians to access their vaccination data by the Bureau for Public Health of the West Virginia Department of Health.
Patients can now access their immunization history and print their official documents using the MyIRMobile system.
Speaking on the program, Sec. Sherri Young highlighted the value of vaccinations in preserving health and explained that the new resource will allow people to access the most up-to-date healthcare information.
Healthcare provider staff members have less administrative work to do because the system retrieves its data directly from the West Virginia Statewide Immunization Information System (WVSIIS) and makes it accessible from any computer or smart device.
Patients, parents, and legal guardians in West Virginia can access their individual vaccination records through the portal. MyIR provides users with an easy-to-follow registration process for creating and activating an account.
Users can add dependents under the age of 18 to their account, and it matches registration data with the immunization registry through a two-step verification process.
Users can read and print their vaccination records whenever they’d like after their registration has been validated. The portal’s certified vaccination records are recognized as valid evidence of immunization.
Only authorized users can access records thanks to MyIR’s adherence to HIPAA regulations. Furthermore, you can reach MyIR support by phone at (304) 356-4047, which is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
