Several West Virginia State Police troopers were honored on Wednesday for their exceptional service to their communities.
The awards ceremony was held at the WVSP headquarters in South Charleston, where troopers received various accolades including the Medal of Valor and the Purple Heart.
“It’s not often that we get to come together to honor some West Virginia State troopers who have shown tremendous sacrifice, commitment, bravery, and courage, as these troopers have today,” said Maj. James Mitchell, WVSP Chief of Staff Services.
